Interprofessional Presence (Part Time), Center for Simulation and Innovation (Phoenix) Join the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix Center for Simulation and Innovation (CSI) as part of our Simulation Pool Staff. In this hourly role you will act as a clinical nurse presence support (IPP) during simulation events, operate high‑and low‑fidelity equipment, set up and tear down event rooms, conduct tours, and perform related duties. Your clinical knowledge will be applied throughout simulation scenarios. Duties & Responsibilities Act as a clinical nurse presence support during high and low fidelity clinical education scenarios using simulation and related technology. Set up, tear down, and quality‑assure simulation activities, special projects, and CSI events. Conduct tours of the facility and may teach procedures. Provide program and project support, training and guidance to faculty and Simulation Staff, including other Pool Staff members. Participate in event pre‑brief and de‑brief meetings, giving and receiving feedback with faculty, students, staff, and management. Serve as event, project, or shift leader when required. Participate in clinical simulations as a Simulation Operator. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds (mannequin, task trainers, supply boxes). Frequently bend, stoop, push, pull, walk, and twist. Ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong communication skills. Experience planning and leading events, managing resources, and coaching employees. Minimum Qualifications Current unrestricted license or certification in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Emergency Paramedic (CEP), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), medical assistant, Respiratory Therapist (RT), Physician Assistant (PA) or similar healthcare provider professional. OR, three years’ prior experience as a RN, CEP, LPN, EMT, medical assistant, RT, PA, or similar healthcare provider professional. OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education. Preferred Qualifications Recent experience providing healthcare in a clinical setting. Previous experience in a hospital setting such as pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, medical/surgical, peri‑operative, telemetry, etc. Previous experience in a clinical simulation setting, actively engaged in simulation events. Mastery of Simulation Operator role. Proficient with web‑based computer programs (Microsoft Suite and Teams, Google Docs, scheduling).
