Senior Customs Entry Writer (Import Compliance)

Results-driven Customs Entry Writer with strong expertise in U.S. import compliance and customs brokerage operations. Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting accurate import entries while ensuring adherence to CBP regulations and international trade requirements. Supports efficient cargo clearance through detailed documentation management, tariff classification, and cross-functional coordination. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit import entries in compliance with U.S. Customs (CBP) regulations Review and validate commercial invoices, bills of lading, and shipping documents Classify goods using HTS codes and calculate duties, taxes, and fees Manage Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) admissions and government agency (PGA) requirements Coordinate with customs officials, carriers, and internal teams to resolve entry or clearance issues Monitor shipment status to ensure timely release and delivery Maintain accurate records and stay current on regulatory changes Qualifications 5+ years of customs entry writing or brokerage experience Strong knowledge of CBP regulations, tariff classification, and import/export compliance Experience with FTZ processes and customs systems (e.g., ABI) preferred High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage high-volume workloads Effective communication and problem-solving skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Hornet Staffing, Inc, a GEE Group company
