Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical - Neuro
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for a 30-bed acute care unit specializing in Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. This role offers an engaging opportunity to care for patients with neurological and head & neck conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with a variety of neuro and otolaryngology conditions.
- Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4 during assigned shifts.
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
Shift Details
- Night shifts: 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
- Must work every other weekend.
- Required to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays; Christmas time off is not approved.
- Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week.
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
- Epic experience is mandatory.
- Ability to adhere to float policy as required.
- Applicants can submit with VA license pending.
Time Off
- 40 hours of paid time off available.
