Job Title: Paraprofessional/Behavior Technician
Schedule: Full-Time
Assignment Dates: 2026–2027 School Year
Grade Levels: K–12
Position Type: Contract
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support instructional delivery and student learning across K–12 grade levels. This role focuses on assisting teachers in providing individualized support, promoting student engagement, and helping maintain a structured, inclusive classroom environment.
Primary Duties:
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering instructional activities and lessons
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs
- Reinforce academic concepts and assist with skill development as directed by the teacher
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodations
- Help maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management and student behavior support
- Monitor student progress and report observations to the teacher
- Support daily classroom routines, transitions, and organizational tasks
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other school staff
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
- Experience working with children or individuals with diverse learning needs preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with a team
- Patience, flexibility, and a supportive attitude
