Now Hiring: Concrete Quality Assurance Technician
Location: Bessemer, AL
Schedule: Full Time - Start time: 7:00 AM (earlier starts may be required)
Pay: $17/hr+ BOE


A prefabricated building system manufacturer specializing in electrical substation control buildings and communication shelters is seeking an experienced Concrete Quality Assurance Technician to support and expand production capacity within the Concrete Department.


This role is hands-on and essential to ensuring product quality, consistency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections on product forms
• Conduct pre-pour inspections and verify blueprints for accurate mold setup
• Monitor and inspect production processes to ensure compliance with quality-control procedures and standards
• Perform daily concrete testing, including:
  
  
  • Slump
  • Spread
  • VSI
  • Air content
  • Test cylinders
• Document daily concrete testing results and report to management
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Perform additional tasks as assigned, including housekeeping and cleanup

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• ACI and NPCA certifications (or ability to obtain)
• Valid driver's license; must pass drug screen and background check
• Strong ability to read tape measures and blueprints
• High attention to detail
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including:
  
  
  • Working on knees
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Reliable transportation; punctual with a strict 7:00 AM start time
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Flexible end time; work may extend past 4:30 PM
• Self-motivated, reliable, and willing to perform all assigned tasks

Additional Notes:

• Must be able to read and understand English for training and safety purposes
• May operate forklifts, MEWPs, or other equipment after proper training
• May ride in or drive company vehicles after authorization
• PPE may be required, including steel-toed or EH composite-toed footwear
• Job duties may shift based on company needs or supervisor direction
