Retail Petroleum Service Technician

PumpTex, Inc is seeking an Experienced Retail Petroleum Service Technician to provide excellent customer service, repairs, and maintenance to the gas stations we serve in the San Antonio area and drive our business by keeping our clients happy. We are looking for someone with a talent for troubleshooting petroleum equipment systems and interested in a long-term career in customer service.

PRIMARY EXPECTATIONS:

• Communicate respectfully in person and over the phone with our clients and team members
• Respond to a variety of service calls (including emergency response and after hours when on-call)
• Participate in a required rotating on-call schedule (1 week of on-call every 5 weeks)
• Repair and maintain dispensers, turbines, UST tank top equipment, UST monitoring equipment, and dispenser calibration
• Track inventory on the company vehicle to ensure that you have all the equipment you need to help our clients
• Assist in managing client expectations through correct judgments, sound decisions, and technical knowledge
• Following up with clients to make sure they are taken care of
• Keep up to date on new equipment launches and industry compliance, and participate in ongoing training
• Work with a sense of urgency to make sure clients are operational and to minimize unbillable time

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must live in the service area for the position or surrounding areas
• Experience as a Service Technician in the retail petroleum field is required
• Experience with 2 or more retail petroleum product lines (such as Wayne, Verifone, Gilbarco, Passport); current or previous certification is preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license

WORK SCHEDULE:

Our Technicians typically work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, opportunities for overtime, on-call rotation.
