Give us a call opt 1 Job Details: Shift: 12H Nights Total Weekly Hours: 36 Certifications: BLS, ACLS Trauma Level: Facility Specific Job Notes: Experience: - Level 1 Trauma experience required. - Must have EVD (External Ventricular Drain) experience. - Unit will consider candidates with less than 2 years of experience if they have 18 months of Neuro ICU experience. - Required to pass DYS exam prior to accepting the position. Skills and Competence: - Must have strong neuro assessment skills and ICP (Intracranial Pressure) monitoring experience. - Must be competent in SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes (with specific exceptions for NyICU and ED). Certifications: - BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required. - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required. Unit Details: - Neuro ICU, 32 beds, Ratios 1:2. - Charge Nurse present, does not take patients. - EMR system: Cerner. Additional Requirements: - Candidates must have natural hair color and no facial piercings. - Men must clean shave for fit test. - Day 1 Pass Fail Exam required, details to follow with study guide provided. - SIMs Lab is mandatory and pass/fail; nurses have been termed for breaking a sterile field. - Travel Teams must have their own vehicles. - Floating may include ICU/MS/Tele units; Tele ratio is 1:4.
