IT Help Desk Technician

Requirements Must have: We require an associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or comparable practical experience. We look for 1 to 2 years of experience in technical support or a help desk position. We need strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and fundamental networking concepts. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and remote support tools is expected. Strong troubleshooting ability and keen attention to detail are important. We value excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and manage time effectively is required. Preferred qualifications include CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications. Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and cloud-based services is preferred. Familiarity with ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira is a plus. Basic awareness of cybersecurity best practices is preferred. Responsibilities: We provide first-line technical assistance by phone, email, and in person for hardware, software, and network-related issues. We troubleshoot and resolve problems with Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and common business applications. We set up and configure new workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. We manage user accounts and access permissions in Active Directory and other systems. We document support requests and maintain accurate records in the ticketing platform. We support IT initiatives such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments. We deliver excellent customer service and explain technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues.
