Strategic Procurement Specialist

Location: Westbrook, Maine

Strategic Procurement Specialist, Westbrook, ME, $65,000- $75,000 annually, based on experience. We’re seeking a Strategic Procurement Specialist who brings more than transactional purchasing experience. This role is ideal for a procurement professional who excels at supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, cost reduction initiatives, and strategic sourcing within a manufacturing environment.

Our client is Integrated is a world-class manufacturer of custom automation and test systems serving medical, consumer products, electronics, aerospace, defense, and industrial markets.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

• Source and procure materials, components, and services supporting engineering and manufacturing schedules.
• Issue, manage, and expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Solicit and evaluate supplier quotations based on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across assigned spend categories.

Supplier Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times, and service agreements.
• Manage supplier performance through scorecards, KPIs, and corrective action plans.
• Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers.
• Collaborate with both domestic and international suppliers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Planning, and Quality teams.
• Participate in project discussions early to support procurement strategy and supply planning.
• Help drive material selection and procurement decisions from concept through delivery.

Inventory & Reporting

• Monitor inventory levels and proactively prevent material shortages.
• Analyze procurement metrics and generate regular purchasing reports.
• Support forecasting, planning, and supply chain optimization efforts.

Desired Background/Skills:

• 5+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and contracts.
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices and supply chain operations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Global Shop Solutions, or similar platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
