Exciting Opportunity for Travel RN - PACU!

Job Description:


- Shift: 07:00-17:00
- Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 17 pre/post bays
- Number of Staff: 3 Full-Time, 1 Part-Time
- Patient Ratios:
- Pre-Op: 1:2
- PACU Phase 1: 1:1
- PACU Phase 2: 2:2

- Equipment & Technology:
- Stretchers, Blood Glucose Monitors, Vital Sign Monitors, Pyxis Machines
- EMR: Meditech

- Hiring Profile:
- Skill Set Most Recruited For:
- Travel RNs
- Local CNAs and Sitters
- Must Have:
- Minimum 1-year current PACU experience
- BLS & ACLS certifications
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of PT/OT instructions for Joint patients
- Comfortable with bedside teaching

- Typical Procedures:
- Total joint procedures
- Sports Medicine
- Foot/Ankle cases
- Some Podiatry
- Hand and nerve cases
- General surgeries (Hernias, Lap Appy, Lap Chole)
- Breast cases with plastic reconstruction (mastectomy, tissue expanders)

- Personality Fit:
- Team players
- Flexible with shifts

- Positive attitude and engaged with people

- Unit Guidelines/Policies:
- Call for PACU: 1-2 shifts per week (minimum 1), Monday-Thursday, 17:00-05:00
- Coverage for weekend call shifts as needed
- Splitting holiday call among the team during weekdays
