Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts) | 36 or 48-hour weeks available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical units, including ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical patient populations (GI, urology, gynecological)
• Maintain a staffing ratio of 1:5–6 patients on nights, with potential flex to 1:7–8 with LPN support
• Float to other Med Surg units as needed, typically approximately once per week
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs
• Participate in a mandatory orientation period during the first two weeks of assignment
• Adhere to every-other-weekend scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN License required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required; pending certification accepted with confirmed willingness to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Must be available for the full two-week orientation at the start of assignment
• Willingness to float to other Med Surg units and work with varied staff types
• Local candidates are accepted; no radius restrictions apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Experience working across multiple Med Surg subspecialties (ortho, neuro, cardio, pulmonary, surgical)
• Flexibility with scheduling, including the ability to work without block scheduling guarantees
