Travel CT Technologist / Radiologic TechnologistLocation: Andalusia, Alabama Position Type: Travel Contract Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, Monday–ThursdayJob SummaryThe CT Technologist / Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray and computed tomography (CT) equipment. This role reviews patient histories and physician orders, prepares patients for examinations, operates imaging equipment, and ensures high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort.Key ResponsibilitiesReview patient histories and physician orders before performing imaging procedures.Explain procedures, equipment, and examinations to patients to ensure understanding and cooperation.Prepare and administer contrast media and medications when ordered and within the scope of practice.Continuously monitor patient conditions and report or respond appropriately to changes in status.Prepare imaging equipment and supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly.Follow established radiation safety standards and perform required quality control procedures.Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues as necessary.Position patients correctly and perform diagnostic X-ray and CT examinations.Evaluate image quality and take corrective action, including repositioning patients and repeating scans when necessary.Enter, transmit, and report imaging results according to established procedures.Float between the X-ray and CT departments as required.Required QualificationsAssociate degree in Radiologic Technology.Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in Radiology and CT.Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT).Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).Ability and willingness to work in both X-ray and CT departments.Preferred QualificationsCompletion of an additional CT Technology certificate program.Work ScheduleFour 10-hour shifts per week.Monday through Thursday.Floating between the X-ray and CT departments is required.
