Registered Dietician

Job Opportunity

This position offers a full-time schedule with 36 hours per week, working day shifts from Monday to Friday, specifically from 08:30 AM to 04:30 PM.

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required (completion of a Bachelor's Degree if Registered Dietitian credential was obtained before January 1, 2024; or a Master's Degree if obtained after this date). Completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship, supervised practice program, or foreign equivalent approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
• Credentials: Registered Dietitian credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) to be obtained within six months of hire. Licensed Dietitian, due within six months of hire.

Experience Requirements

• Preferred experience in providing medical nutrition therapy in an acute care hospital or similar facility.
• Experience in managing, coordinating, or supervising patient nutrition care in an outpatient setting or with bariatric patients is preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong understanding of current medical nutrition therapy standards for various patient populations.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to solve problems creatively.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend and utilize clinical forms, reference materials, and adhere to departmental policies.
• Capability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment with multiple work demands and tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Patient Age Groups: Adults
• Daily Census: 8 patients
• Number of Visits Per Day: Approximately 8

Additional Information

This role may require floating to other facilities as needed, with the first floating option being approximately 15 minutes away. Candidates must be prepared for this requirement.

Previous employees in this organization must have a six-month gap before reapplying for assignments.

Assignments typically begin within 3 to 4 weeks of acceptance. Further details regarding ongoing training and orientation will be provided upon hiring.
