Financial Services Advisor (Regional) The Financial Services Advisor (Regional) is located at an assigned SAE campus and works closely with students and their families across multiple SAE campus locations through a combination of in-person and phone/video conferencing platforms. Campus support responsibilities may be adjusted based on enrollment levels, staffing, operational needs and business priorities. The Advisor advises students about the different types of funding methods available and provides information regarding all the procedures and requirements of the various financial aid programs. They make an accurate assessment of a student's financial aid need and present a financial aid plan to meet those needs, track and monitor all financial aid package activity through completion, assist with student payment plan collection activities, maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with regulations, statutes, and company policies. Key Relationships Campus Director and Financial Services - Group SAE Institute local and Group staff SAE Institute Students Duties and Accountabilities Builds rapport and effectively communicates with enrolled and prospective students (and their families) about financial aid and other alternative methods of funding. Determines a student's Title IV eligibility and awards federal, state, institutional, and private sources of financial aid to students within appropriate guidelines and regulations. Utilizes software to send and retrieve information from the Department of Education. Monitors financial aid advising to ensure program, audit, and regulatory compliance. Maintains institutional regulatory compliance in all federal and state student assistance programs. Maintains files and financial aid management systems. Assists with cash receipting of student tuition payments. Monitors past due accounts and communicates with students regarding necessary resolutions. Assists with student account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of billing and receipt of payments. Interviews and advises students regarding their educational financial planning. Maintains confidentiality of information accessed in the course of business. Performs other duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications Experience in higher education (Financial Aid preferred) environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of automated higher education management systems; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel. In-depth knowledge of financial aid and/or prior financial aid experience. Experience with financial aid reporting systems, including but not limited to NSLDS, GEMCOR, and Anthology. Ability to interpret and apply federal and state regulations and guidelines. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent time management skills. The position may be based at any of the following campuses: Chicago, IL North Miami Beach, FL Nashville, TN Atlanta, GA The hourly range for this position is $24.03 to $28.84, depending on qualifications and experience.
