PHARMACY SPECIALIST

Location Yonkers, New York Schedule Day shift, alternate weekends: Scheduled hours: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM Daily hours: 7.5 hours Hourly rate: $37.54 Position Summary Under direct supervision of a pharmacist, assist in packaging, manufacturing, and distribution of drugs and supplies. Perform non-judgmental functions in all areas of the department including ambulatory and inpatient drug distribution, sterile product preparation, manufacturing and packaging, as well as provision of ambulatory services. Responsible for procurement and inventory control. Perform other related duties and utilize automated and computerized technology as required. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program or equivalent on‑the‑job training PTCB certification NYS Pharmacy Technician license and registration Knowledge of pharmaceutical and inventory control practices Proficient in PC, Windows and other business or pharmacy computer systems Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills Experience in retail pharmacy preferred Must be able to work every other weekend EEO Statement Montefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
