Required Qualifications:
All prospective employees must submit to a Level 2 background check pursuant to Florida State Statute 435.04 and be found eligible by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. The background check will include, but is not limited to, fingerprinting for statewide criminal history records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, national criminal history records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation, local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies, and a search of the sexual predator and sexual offender registries of any state in which the prospective employee resided during the immediate preceding 5 years. - Valid teaching certificate.
- Three years of successful teaching experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.
- Ability to motivate diverse students and cultivate a strong culture of achievement.
- Demonstrated use of data to inform behavior management practices.
- Consistently collaborates with colleagues and commits to learning from others.
- Enthusiasm and openness to continuous feedback and coaching.
- A belief that all students should be held to high academic and behavioral standards.
- Genuine interest in family engagement, and ability to communicate effectively with parents.
- Personal alignment to the core values of Clay County District Schools.
