Field Service Technician - Critical Water Systems (Seattle/Tacoma)

Title: Field Service Technician – Critical Water Systems(Seattle/Tacoma area) Department: Service Reports To : Installation Project Manager/Region Service Manager About the role The Field Service Technician – Critical Water Systems (VERDA/MMIC) is responsible for providing field service support for VERDA critical water purification systems and MMIC mobile healthcare assets throughout the assigned service territory. The primary focus of this position is the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, water quality sampling, system disinfection, recommissioning, and customer support of VERDA Water Quality Systems serving healthcare facilities. This position serves as the primary field representative for assigned customer accounts by delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining system reliability, coordinating with contractors and OEM service providers, and ensuring all work is accurately documented. Required Qualifications The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently while managing an assigned service territory. Candidates should demonstrate solid mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to delivering quality work in healthcare environments. Associate degree, military training, or equivalent technical work experience. Minimum of three (3) years of related field service, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, water treatment, or medical equipment service experience. Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable: Reverse osmosis (RO) Plumbing and piping systems Pumps and pumping systems Electrical troubleshooting

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and technical manuals. Ability to travel throughout the Seattle Metro area and Pacific Northwest region (as required) Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds and work in mechanical rooms, confined spaces, rooftops, utility areas, and on ladders. Essential Job Functions Technical Responsibilities Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain VERDA Water Quality Systems. Perform preventive maintenance on reverse osmosis (RO), deionization (DI), storage, pumping, distribution, and related water treatment systems. Perform water quality testing, sampling, flushing, system disinfection, sanitization, and recommissioning activities in accordance with company procedures and applicable industry standards. Apply AAMI ST108 guidance, TIR34 recommendations, manufacturer requirements, and company procedures related to healthcare water quality. Diagnose plumbing, pumps, valves, electrical, controls, instrumentation, and mechanical issues affecting water purification systems. Maintain proficiency in VERDA products and supporting technologies through company and manufacturer training. Support commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and service activities. Customer & Territory Management Serve as the primary field representative for assigned customer accounts. Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare customers, contractors, subcontractors, OEM service providers, and facility maintenance personnel. Coordinate service activities with engineering, production, sales, subcontractors, and OEM partners. Communicate service findings, recommendations, and system status clearly and professionally. Provide technical support to customers, end users, and authorized service providers. Documentation & Administration Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, including Field Service Reports, preventive maintenance records, water sampling documentation, disinfection reports, work orders, expense reports, and time sheets. Maintain accurate service records and work order documentation within Salesforce. Maintain assigned tools, test equipment, sampling equipment, inventory, and service parts. Order replacement parts and materials necessary to support timely service resolution. Follow established company procedures for service execution, safety, quality, and customer communication. Perform other duties as assigned by management. The role may involve moving safely within mechanical rooms, utility areas, and healthcare environments. The role may require walking, standing, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, kneeling, and reaching to access equipment and perform sampling activities. The role may require lifting, carrying, or moving sampling equipment or materials (typically up to 75lbs) Office-based work may involve extended periods of sitting, computer use, and detailed data review. Work may involve exposure to water systems, treatment equipment, laboratory sample kits, andoutdoor environmental conditions.
