Contract: 12 months with possible extension

Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:30 PM CST
Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Position Overview

Our client is seeking Managed Care Specialists for a hybrid position based in downtown Nashville, TN.

Candidates must be local to Middle Tennessee and able to commute to the Nashville office as required. The role offers a combination of remote and onsite work based on team and business needs.

The Managed Care Specialist will support eligibility determination, case management, client communication, research, documentation, database management, and administrative activities.

Training may last up to 6 weeks and may be conducted virtually or onsite based on supervisor requirements. Candidates must attend all scheduled training sessions. No preplanned PTO will be approved during training weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine individual and family eligibility for applicable care programs.
• Coordinate schedules and communicate with internal and external clients.
• Conduct client interviews and gather relevant facts and information.
• Compile case information and data to support recommendations.
• Manage assigned casework from intake through resolution.
• Maintain accurate and timely case documentation.
• Conduct legal research and analyze legal papers and documentation.
• Assist with drafting legal documents and documenting research findings.
• Research and retrieve information from multiple databases.
• Ensure case information is accurate, complete, and properly documented.
• Attend workgroup meetings and participate in team discussions.
• Provide administrative and operational assistance to leadership.
• Manage multiple assignments while meeting established deadlines.
• Work independently while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associate degree required.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent note-taking and email organization skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal Studies background or education.
• Previous experience in a legal environment.
• Customer service or call center experience.
• Experience with case management or eligibility-related work.
• Experience conducting research and reviewing documentation.
• Experience working with multiple databases or information systems.

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid position in Nashville, TN .
• Middle Tennessee local candidates only.
• Must be able to commute to the office as needed.
• Combination of onsite and remote work based on team schedule.
• MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:30 PM CST.
• 37.5 hours per week.
