Senior Accountant Consultant

job summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Senior Accountant for a 6-to-9-month temp-to-perm engagement on-site in Brookhaven, GA. Reporting directly to the CFO and supporting the broader accounting team, this role will be responsible for executing day-to-day general ledger operations, preparing month-end close reconciliations, and meeting parent company reporting schedules.

responsibilities:

• General Ledger & Month-End Close Execution: Prepare and post complex journal entries, conduct monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations, and execute routine month-end close schedules.
• Parent Company Reporting Support: Compile financial schedules, assist with intercompany reconciliations, and help fulfill financial reporting packages required by the parent company.
• NetSuite Implementation Preparation: Assist in organizing schedules, cleaning up historical general ledger data, mapping accounts, and preparing files for the upcoming NetSuite ERP implementation.
• Daily Accounting Operations: Provide direct accounting and analytical support to team members; assist in documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows.
• Audit & Compliance Support: Assist in preparing audit schedules, supporting documentation, and variance analyses for internal/external reviews.

 
qualifications:

• Experience: 4+ years of hands-on accounting experience operating as a Staff or Senior Accountant executing month-end close routines.
• ERP & Systems Proficiency: Proficiency in NetSuite or experience working through ERP implementations/data migrations is a strong plus. Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas) required.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of US GAAP, general ledger mechanics, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations.
• Schedule & Location: Must be able to work full-time on-site in Brookhaven, GA (Mon-Fri).
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
