Responsibilities

• Deliver knowledgeable, efficient, and professional service in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen environment
• Develop creative specials featuring seasonal ingredients and unique offerings that complement the restaurant’s seasonally changing menu
• Contribute ideas and support the development of seasonal menus
• Support the Chef with daily kitchen operations, service execution, and overall back-of-house leadership
• Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, coach, and supervise back-of-house team members
• Lead the kitchen team during assigned shifts and ensure quality and operational standards are consistently maintained
• Work the line as needed while maintaining proper timing, quality, consistency, and presentation
• Train and develop kitchen team members while providing ongoing coaching and feedback
• Ensure recipes, portions, plating, and presentation standards are followed
• Maintain high standards for food safety, sanitation, organization, and cleanliness
• Assist with prep planning, inventory management, ordering, product rotation, and waste reduction
• Help manage labor and food costs while improving overall kitchen efficiency
• Troubleshoot issues during service and take initiative to keep operations running smoothly
• Communicate effectively with chefs, kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, support staff, and management
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures are followed
• Maintain clean and organized stations, equipment, and work areas
• Ensure kitchen equipment is operated safely and properly
• Support menu launches, seasonal changes, and team education in partnership with management
• Assist with opening, closing, prep, cleaning, and other kitchen responsibilities as needed
• Perform additional duties as needed to support successful restaurant operations
