AnderCorp is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead the development of accurate, competitive, and comprehensive project estimates from concept through bid.

This role is essential to the success of our projects, serving as the bridge between design, estimating, procurement, operations, and executive leadership. The Preconstruction Manager evaluates project requirements, develops detailed cost models, identifies risks and opportunities, and collaborates with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are positioned for success before construction begins.

What You'll Do

Estimating & Cost Management

• Lead detailed quantity takeoffs across multiple CSI divisions
• Develop conceptual, budgetary, and bid-level estimates
• Utilize current market conditions and historical cost data to create accurate project pricing
• Prepare project cost models and estimate summaries for leadership review
• Analyze project scope and identify cost-saving opportunities

Risk Assessment & Project Planning

• Identify project risks, scope gaps, constructability issues, and pricing exposures
• Develop General Conditions budgets and project schedules
• Evaluate project requirements and develop strategies for successful execution
• Communicate key estimating assumptions, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders

Subcontractor & Vendor Management

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Review scope coverage, exclusions, qualifications, and pricing
• Assist with purchasing, buyout activities, and subcontract development
• Build strong relationships with trade partners and vendors

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Collaborate closely with operations, project management, design teams, and company leadership
• Support project pursuits and client presentations as needed
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimating and preconstruction professionals
• Drive continuous improvement in estimating and preconstruction processes

What We're Looking For

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong construction estimating and quantity takeoff experience

Advanced understanding of construction drawings, specifications, means, and methods

Ability to evaluate and price multiple trades and building systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously

Proven leadership skills with a desire to mentor and develop others

Collaborative mindset and commitment to building strong relationships
