We have an opening for a Medical Assistant who provides exceptional support to providers and team to ensure and establish a seamless flow between examination and treatment established. Employees in this role are the liaison between patients and medical providers. Work Schedule : Must be able to work three 12-hour shifts per week with a rotation on weekends and some holidays . MA positions may require travel to multiple clinic centers across the defined region to support critical shifts. Access to reliable transportation is required. Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Generous PTO Plan Employee Assistance Program Annual Merit Increases Qualifications: Medical Assistant (Certified, Certified Clinical, Registered, or a certificate of completion from your school is preferred, but not required) Proof of current certification is needed if you are a CMA. Nurse (LPN) Must provide proof of current certification. Two years of clinical experience preferred. Ability to escort or transport a patient by wheelchair when appropriate. BLS/CPR certification required. High school diploma or equivalent We do not accept CNA’s, EMT’s, or PMD’s. Experience: Strong customer service and problem-solving / communication skills. Basic computer skills and knowledge of EMR system. Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills. Perform clinical intake including obtaining patient’s medical history, current medications, chief complaint, obtain vital signs and records information within EMR system. Administer medications, dress/bandage wounds, draw blood and assist provider with any procedures in/out of exam room. Perform diagnostic tests including eye exams, electrocardiograph, audiogram, peak flow, and other basic nursing functions. Perform both DOT and Non-DOT urine drug screens, using proper chain of custody; ensure preparation for pick-up and shipment to appropriate laboratory. (On-the-job Training) Monitor disposable inventory, medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals. Complete medical charting to include medical services rendered, test results, and supplies used. Hourly Salary Range:Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
