Lab Technician

Position: Laboratory Technology/Testing – Soils, Asphalt, Aggregates, and Concrete Responsibilities Perform basic laboratory tests on soils, aggregates, masonry, asphalt and prepare reports of results Maintain a log of all samples Apply basic mathematical formulas and concepts to calculate quantities, estimate volumes, and inspect constructed work Enter test results into a web‑based computer program Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment Communicate with clients, contractors, engineers and technicians regarding construction laboratory testing Other duties as assigned Qualifications No experience required; 1+ years of relevant experience preferred High School Diploma or Equivalent ACI Level I Concrete, state DOT, or ICC certifications in concrete highly preferred Ability to multi‑task and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams to achieve goals Excellent attention to detail Valid driver’s license and good‑standing driving record Some travel will be required Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre‑employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record Benefits Comprehensive group medical insurance, including health, dental, vision and life Opportunity for professional growth and advancement Paid time off Company‑observed paid holidays Short and long‑term disability coverage 401(k) retirement We extend equal employment opportunities to qualified applicants and employees on an equal basis regardless of an individual’s age, race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, pregnancy status, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information or any other reason protected by federal, state or local law.
