Required Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years recent operating room experience within the last 4 years
• Proven scrub experience in general surgery and specialty areas such as ortho, neurosurgery, trauma, vascular, ENT, bariatric, GYN, GU
• Experience working in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers or equivalent large acute care facilities
• Certification as a Surgical Tech (CST or equivalent)
• Ability to perform surgical scrub procedures efficiently and independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to perform general operating room skills with minimal supervision
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with trauma orthopedic, general, ENT, vascular, or GYN cases
• Familiarity with operating in a teaching hospital environment
• Additional certifications related to surgical technology

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of recent OR experience in a similar-sized or higher-level trauma or teaching hospital setting, preferably in New York State
• Prior experience with trauma, ortho, neurosurgery, vascular, ENT, bariatric, GYN, or GU procedures

Other Requirements:

• Shifts include evenings with a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, starting on 05/29/2026
• No First Assistant responsibilities required in New York State
• Must not have had professional license or certification suspended or under investigation
• Willingness to work in a high-volume, fast-paced adult OR setting
• Must be able to perform in an acute care environment with minimal supervision
• Travel and licensure reimbursements available when applicable
• Ability to work in the specified shift length and schedule
