A growing commercial general contractor is seeking a VDC Coordinator to support BIM coordination, reality capture, construction logistics modeling, and digital project execution across large-scale commercial projects.

This role is ideal for a construction technology professional who enjoys bridging the gap between design teams, field operations, and project management through the use of BIM, OpenSpace, logistics modeling, and field capture technology.

You’ll play a key role in improving coordination, reducing field conflicts, enhancing visualization, and supporting smarter project execution from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

BIM Coordination & Model Management

• Lead BIM coordination efforts across trades and consultants
• Facilitate coordination meetings and drive issue resolution
• Manage coordination models using platforms such as Navisworks, Autodesk BIM 360, Procore Models, and OpenSpace
• Identify clashes, coordination conflicts, and constructability issues before they impact the field
• Document and track RFIs and coordination workflows within Procore

Reality Capture & Digital Field Verification

• Manage site capture workflows using OpenSpace or similar platforms
• Overlay drone captures onto project plans to validate progress and installation accuracy
• Compare as-built conditions to design models and drawings
• Support QA/QC, progress tracking, and owner reporting efforts
• Perform periodic reality capture to document field conditions and project progress

Construction Logistics & 4D Modeling

• Develop logistics and phasing models to support sequencing, site planning, and safety initiatives
• Create visualizations for crane picks, material staging, access routes, and temporary works
• Coordinate logistics plans with field leadership, preconstruction, and safety teams
• Identify and help resolve logistics conflicts proactively

Field & Office Collaboration

• Translate model data into actionable field solutions
• Support project teams with visual planning and coordination tools
• Help ensure field teams can easily access and interpret models and capture data
• Serve as a liaison between field operations, project management, and design teams

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of experience in VDC, BIM coordination, construction technology, or construction management
• Hands-on experience with OpenSpace or similar reality capture platforms
• Experience with Navisworks, Revit, BIM 360, Procore Models, or related BIM tools
• Strong understanding of trade coordination, sequencing, and field operations
• Experience with clash detection and model-based QA/QC processes
• Strong spatial visualization and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with logistics modeling and 4D scheduling
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (or ability to obtain)
• CM-BIM certification (or ability to obtain)
• Experience working directly with subcontractors during coordination efforts
