Flow Inventory Associate

Position Overview As a Flow Inventory Associate, you will maintain CarMax’s vehicle inventory and support the customer experience. You will handle vehicle receiving and shipping, lot maintenance, merchandising, and photo uploads, ensuring every car meets quality standards. Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory by following CarMax inventory processes. Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and prepare title packets for transfers. Perform lot maintenance and merchandising, ensuring display areas are clean and organized. Prep vehicles for customer returns and loaners, including washing and vacuuming. Execute photo station process for carmax.com listings. Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs, storage, and auction support. Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Qualifications Valid driver’s license and ability to meet CarMax driving standards. High school diploma or equivalent; work experience preferred. Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for inventory records. Completion of Inventory Associate workstation certifications and assigned trainings. Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment. Compensation The hourly rate for this position is $18.50 - $25.80. Benefits CarMax Associates are entitled to paid sick, vacation, and holiday time. Full-time hourly or commission/incentive eligible associates earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year and between 80 hours and 200 hours of vacation time after a 90‑day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service. Full‑time salaried associates are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit, subject to manager approval.
