Job OverviewA law firm seeks a Junior Renewable Energy Transactions Associate Attorney to join its Energy, Environmental, Mining, and Transportation Division in Washington, DC. The role involves working with a team of attorneys in the Renewable Energy group, engaging in diverse renewable energy projects, including project development, commercial transactions, and financing. Duties Assist in project development and transactional matters within the renewable energy sector. Negotiate, draft, and close commercial agreements. Collaborate with team members on mergers and acquisitions, financing, and real estate transactions. Requirements 2-3 years of experience in renewable or conventional energy transactions, or related fields. Familiarity with tax credit matters, including ITCs or PTCs, is a plus. Licensed to practice in or eligible for admission without examination in the District of Columbia. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in the District of Columbia or eligibility for admission without examination. Skills Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
