Your Role and Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care plans
• Independently diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions while collaborating with physicians as needed
• Educating patients and families about disease prevention, wellness strategies, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies according to your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up care and chronic disease management
• Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Documenting all patient interactions clearly and accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)

Your Educational Background

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications You Need

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or attained an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the capability to secure these within 90 days)
