Job Title: Lead Worker (Structural Welder) (Night Shift)
Location: Pascagoula, MS
Job Overview: The Lead Worker (Structural Welder) supervises the activities of a group of hourly welders.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilizes knowledge of the working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials, including the specifications of the equipment to be used in the welding process.
Performs tank testing and associated duties as required.
Qualifications:
At least Five (5) years of assembly/prefab Structural Welder experience. Prior supervision experience is preferred.
Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of welding-specific processes and techniques in addition to being familiar with standard marine practices and general specifications for construction.
Experience in structural fabrication and the ability to read/understand drawings is required.
Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, work well with others, and have the ability to plan/schedule craft-specific work tasks
Must have a strong focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental aspects of work being performed.
