Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with dedicated students and staff, utilizing your expertise to foster growth and development for those with unique educational needs.
In this role, you’ll guide students through both 3rd grade English Language Arts and 6th grade Math, splitting your time evenly between these two vibrant classrooms each day. With a supportive environment and manageable hours, you’ll be able to focus on the individualized instruction that matters most.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) or Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) certification required.
- Experience in Special Education, preferably at the elementary or middle school level.
- Strong understanding of differentiated instructional strategies and IEP implementation.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to adapt to changing student needs and classroom dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction for small groups in 3rd grade ELA and 6th grade Math.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans aligned with IEP goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families and staff.
- Participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions.
- Contribute positively to the school community and foster an inclusive environment.
This position runs ASAP through the end of the current school year, with a part-time schedule of 27.5 hours per week (8:15am-1:42pm). All interviews will be conducted via Zoom for your convenience.
