Construction Logistics Specialist III — Los Angeles, CA Full-Time | On-Site | Los Angeles, CA Why Join Our Team Join a collaborative team supporting one of the nation’s largest airport capital improvement programs. As a Construction Logistics Specialist III, you will support the coordination, documentation, and communication of construction activities across multiple airport projects. Working alongside the Coordination and Logistics Management, or CALM, team, project managers, contractors, airport stakeholders, and City agencies, you will help maintain accurate project information, coordinate reviews and approvals, track permits and concurrence requests, and support the successful delivery of complex aviation infrastructure projects. About Your Role The Construction Logistics Specialist III supports the CALM team by maintaining processes and workflows that ensure project teams and stakeholders receive accurate and timely information related to construction activities. This position is responsible for preparing and distributing workshop and meeting materials, coordinating stakeholder reviews, tracking requests from beginning to completion, updating project agendas and dashboards, supporting contractor onboarding, and assisting with airport-wide program administration. The successful candidate will organize and maintain project information, coordinate with City agencies and airport subject-matter experts, track permits and approvals, and assist with the daily deployment of multiple construction projects. This role requires strong communication, organization, coordination, and problem-solving skills to ensure construction information is current, complete, and effectively shared among all project participants. Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in architecture, aviation, business, engineering, construction management, planning, or another related technical field. Master’s degree preferred. A graduate degree may substitute for one year of the required professional experience. What You’ll Need to Get the Job Done Minimum of 15 years of professional experience. Experience working within complex environments involving multiple agencies and stakeholders at various levels. General understanding of civil construction activities and processes. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and adjust quickly to changing project needs. Experience coordinating project information, meetings, approvals, permits, and construction-related activities. Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with project teams, contractors, agencies, and stakeholders. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to track multiple requests, permits, approvals, activities, and deliverables from initiation through completion. Ability to prepare professional reports, presentations, dashboards, agendas, and project documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher, Access, and PowerPoint. Experience using Adobe Illustrator. Experience using Bluebeam. Ability to create dashboards, graphics, presentations, Gantt charts, and activity-tracking tools. Relevant professional licenses or certifications are strongly preferred. Preferred certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, or other relevant professional credentials. Ability to successfully pass a federal background investigation. What You’ll Do Receive and process new, revised, and updated project forms requiring review or signature. Distribute completed forms and documentation to internal and external contacts. Maintain and update project agendas with new and revised information, including construction dates, permits, and permit expiration dates. Coordinate stakeholder reviews, comments, approvals, and concurrence requests. Maintain accurate information related to new, revised, and ongoing construction activities. Prepare and update agendas for weekly workshops. Prepare and distribute workshop and meeting materials. Record, organize, and distribute meeting minutes, decisions, responsibilities, and action items. Assist with maintaining and improving CALM processes and workflows. Support airport-wide program administration. Update project dashboards and assist with reporting responsibilities. Coordinate training activities and contractor onboarding. Coordinate with City agencies and provide information needed to support the permit process. Request concurrence from Los Angeles World Airports subject-matter experts. Notify contractors of concurrence decisions, restrictions, requirements, and conditions. Track and document concurrence requests from submission through completion. Distribute notifications regarding upcoming construction projects and activities. Track requests, reviews, permits, approvals, and action items from beginning to completion. Coordinate meetings, workshops, stakeholder reviews, and project activities. Collect, organize, review, and maintain information used for reports, presentations, and project deliverables. Prepare presentations, graphics, reports, dashboards, and other program materials. Assist with tracking the daily deployment of multiple construction projects. Facilitate communication among project teams, contractors, airport stakeholders, City agencies, and program leadership. Ensure project information and construction logistics documentation remain current and accurate. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that streamline project coordination and information sharing. Perform additional duties as assigned in support of airport development projects.
