Hourly Pay rate: $16.00/hr. - $20.00/hr. + overtime
Power Solutions International (PSI) is a leading manufacturer of emissions-certified powertrains specializing in customized and fully integrated turnkey solutions for the leading global equipment manufacturers in the industrial, transportation, and energy markets manufacturers. Our facilities are housed in one million square feet of engineering, assembly, operations, and distribution space across seven facilities. We are positioned to meet the high production volumes of our customers with added capacity for growth.
SUMMARY
Under close supervision, the Accounting Intern will support the accounting team through process automation, process improvement initiatives, and financial analysis projects. The intern will perform routine clerical and data entry tasks related to accounting functions within assigned areas such as accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable. In addition, the intern will assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and verify data received for completeness and accuracy and notify supervisor of discrepancies.
- Support process improvement project to drive efficiency improvement
- Prepare various documents for data entry for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
- Maintains and distributes accounting reports as directed.
- Assist with processing and generating monthly financials.
- Assist in month end closing processing receivables.
- Process and maintain vendor inquiries and enter data into Epicor.
- Assist with monthly revenue reconciliations.
- Assist with mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate study at a four-year university, preferably with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills.
- Data analysis skills with some knowledge on SQL and Tableau
- Analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
