Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Dumfries, Virginia. This role is integral to our mission of restoring mobility and enhancing the quality of life for our patients. You will work closely with a team of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant, focusing on delivering individualized care to support patients on their journey to optimal performance.

Work Environment

You will work onsite in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere where innovation and evidence-based practice are at the forefront. Our Rehabilitation Center is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and technology, enabling you to deliver the highest quality of care. Our workdays run from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule focused on patient engagement and progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' objectives and therapeutic needs through detailed examinations, considering their unique rehabilitation journey.
• Manage a patient load of up to two individuals per hour, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention and care.
• Implement cost-effective therapy interventions to enhance mobility and overall function, integrating manual therapy techniques and exercise programs into patient treatment plans.
• Minimize reliance on medications by recommending evidence-based, non-surgical alternatives to support recovery and function.
• Formulate comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that employ a range of therapeutic modalities to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Design and lead tailored fitness and wellness programs that align with the specific rehabilitative goals of each patient.
• Provide continuous motivation and encouragement to patients, fostering mindset shifts that enhance their engagement in the healing process.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to enhance patient progress and satisfaction.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient services rendered, progress notes, and treatment plans to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, surgeries, and injuries. Many of our clients are motivated adults seeking to regain their mobility and functionality, and they often have private health insurance. We tailor our approaches to address the diverse needs of each patient, recognizing their unique backgrounds and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia is essential.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Excellent manual therapy skills, enabling you to provide hands-on treatments that align with best practices in patient care.
• Strong proficiency in designing and implementing individualized exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
• Experience utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT to document patient interactions and therapy sessions.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years' experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is mandatory, candidates with familiarity in rehabilitation practices or integrated care will be particularly valued. Your ability to motivate patients through challenging recovery processes will set you apart in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
