Typical Responsibilities Perform scheduled compliance inspections and complete repairs as needed throughout the facility (initial assessment and troubleshooting of basic HVAC, electrical, and plumbing). Conduct preventative maintenance activities to ensure building systems remain safe and operational. Respond to patient‑related concerns and other maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Inspect the environment of care and identify potential safety hazards before they become issues. Support life safety initiatives, including fire boundary inspections and preventative maintenance of firefighting equipment. Utilize work request systems to document tasks, maintain records, and track completed work. Coordinate and oversee outside contractors to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with organizational standards. Contribute to a safe, comfortable, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and team members. Qualification Highlights High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital or industrial maintenance/construction. Valid New Jersey Driver's License required. Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on safety. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
