Start a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students of all ages as a dedicated paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment near San Mateo, CA. This role allows you to make an immediate impact in the classroom, working collaboratively with educators and staff to assist students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. Flexibility and a true team spirit are essential, as assignments may include working with students from Pre-K through high school, supporting tasks such as toileting, feeding, g-tube care, and more in accordance with student needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Eligible for at least one of the following: S10/S10A/S10Q/S10W/S10E/S10F/S20D/S20V/S22 qualifications, with proof of completion or eligibility.
- Meet education criteria: Associate’s degree or higher, OR 48 college units & high school diploma, OR passing score on the CBEST/instructional aide exam & high school diploma.
- Recent experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting (6+ months within the past 2 years preferred).
- Willingness to support students with a variety of physical, behavioral, and developmental needs.
- Additional competencies (based on assignment): First Aid/CPR, experience with sign language, vision impairment supports, behavioral intervention, or vocational nursing licensure.
- Commitment to complete any annually required trainings, including emergency procedures.

- Assist educators in delivering individualized instruction and meeting IEP goals.
- Support students throughout the day, including academics, therapy, meals, mobility, and personal care as needed.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Remain adaptable to changing assignments and demonstrate a team-oriented approach.
