We are excited to announce an opportunity for exceptional Intensivists to become part of our Cardiothoracic ICU team located in Oceanside, NY, within the vibrant Long Island area. About the Position

Our Cardiovascular Surgery Program is looking for enthusiastic and skilled Intensivists to enhance our Critical Care team. Candidates should have completed a Critical Care fellowship and possess experience managing critically ill cardiac and cardiothoracic patients. Proficiency in standard intensive care procedures, such as central line and S-G catheter placement, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patients pre- and post-cardiothoracic surgery, as well as after complex cardiac procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in day, evening, and weekend shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid New York State Medical License.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine.
• Strong commitment to our organization’s vision and the communities we serve.
• Excellent communication skills, bedside manner, and organizational abilities.
• Able to build respectful relationships and collaborate effectively with team members.

Additional Information

We welcome candidates who may wish to balance their responsibilities between Critical Care and a primary specialty, such as Anesthesiology, Surgery, or Medicine. This role includes an academic appointment in the candidate's primary specialty, along with a cross appointment in the Institute for Critical Care Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $358,000 to $426,000, exclusive of bonuses or incentive compensation. Our comprehensive benefits package includes a 403(b) retirement plan and additional perks.

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, specialty, historical productivity, and community needs.
