Join Our Team as a Vascular Surgeon

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Vascular Surgeon to become part of our collaborative department at our organization located in Oceanside, New York. Our facility is a distinguished, not-for-profit teaching hospital that provides acute care and serves the South Shore community, extending from the Rockaways in Queens to Massapequas and beyond. With a capacity of 455 beds, over 900 physicians, and a workforce of 3,500 employees, we are one of the largest hospitals in the region.

The Division of Vascular Surgery is looking for a full-time vascular surgeon who is board eligible or board certified. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a comprehensive range of vascular surgical procedures and endovascular interventions. Additionally, this role includes teaching residents and students, requiring exceptional clinical and educational skills, along with a strong commitment to excellence and diversity.

Our vascular department is well-equipped with a fully accredited vascular lab (ICAVL), a state-of-the-art interventional suite, and a Vascular Access program. We pride ourselves on the collegial atmosphere among practitioners and the robust support from both specialists and administration.

About Our Hospital

As a Level II verified trauma center, we handle approximately 65,000 emergency department visits each year. Recognized as a Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for exceptional nursing care, we also feature advanced technologies such as Novalis Tx™ and Gamma Knife® radiosurgery. Notably, we are the only trauma center on the South Shore of Nassau County verified by the American College of Surgeons.

In 2018, we were the sole hospital on Long Island to receive the Healthgrades America's 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery™ designation, along with the Orthopedic Surgery Excellence Award™ and a 5-star rating for Total Hip Replacement. We also earned 5-stars in Hip Fracture Treatment, making us a well-regarded institution in the region.

Position Overview

Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid New York Medical License.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Vascular Surgery.
• Dedication to serving the South Nassau community.
• Strong communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills.

Compensation

The compensation for this position ranges from $350,000 to $375,000, excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits.

Salary Disclosure

Our organization provides a salary range in compliance with New York City’s Salary Transparency law. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as experience, specialties, historical productivity, and community needs. Therefore, the final salary may be closer to either end of the range or, in some cases, may fall outside the listed range. This salary range applies to full-time employment and does not include bonuses or benefits.
