DOU/Step-Down Start date: 3-4 weeks out per compliance tier Ratios: We have a dual unit – PCU/Stepdown and the floor side. On the PCU it is 2-3, on the floor it is usually 4, but can be 5 at times. All nurses can work on either side Years of experience REQ: 2 First-timers accepted: yes Weekend REQ: every other Certs REQ: ACLS, BCLS Is on-call REQ? No Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes Open to accommodating block schedule? No Locals accepted: No What is the local radius rule? Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility Pending License accepted: Yes RTO Restrictions: please, no more than 7 days of RTO per 13 week contract Guaranteed Hours: Yes Special Requirements: Interpretation & mgmt. of dysrhythmias, tele, manage & titrate cardiac drips, chest tubes Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma (if applicable): Magnet & Teaching Hospital / Level I Trauma Center Total Staffed Beds: 1,266 Scrub Color: Navy Blue Charting: EPIC Parking: Monthly parking passes available. Security and Parking: View phone number on click.appcast.io o North Surface Lot-$73 (price and availability may vary) o Clayton Ave. Building Southeast Lot- $63 (price and availability may vary) o Clayton Taylor Garage- $73 (price and availability may vary) For orientation: park in the Laclede Garage (4929 Forest Park Ave, St. Louis Mo. 63108) for which there is a $15.00 charge. Pull a parking ticket and take with you. Barnes does not validate or reimburse for the charge. Wear scrubs. If you are working a straight night shift, there is no charge for parking, and you may park in the employee parking (you will receive parking information during orientation). If you will be working a day/night rotation: you will have to obtain a parking pass for which there is a $70.00 fee per month. The garage that you will be parking in will be Clayton/Taylor Ave location. Bring your license plate number with you on your first day.
