Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Music Teacher to join our team in Johnston, RI. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching music to students from Pre-Kindergarten 3 through Grade 8. This position requires availability three days a week and involves leading students in musical education as well as organizing and directing school concerts and liturgical music.
Key Responsibilities

• Teach music to students from PK 3 to Grade 8, fostering a love for music and developing their skills.
• Plan, prepare, and lead the annual Christmas concert and Spring concert.
• Plan and coordinate liturgical music for school masses, ensuring appropriate selections and student participation.
• Create engaging lesson plans that accommodate different learning styles and skill levels.
• Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with school staff and administration to support the overall educational mission.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching music to young children and middle school students (PK 3 to Grade 8).
• Strong knowledge of music theory, vocal and instrumental techniques.
• Ability to plan and direct school concerts and liturgical music.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized, reliable, and enthusiastic about music education.

Schedule
