Sr. Director, FP&A

TwentyThree North is partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed company to place a Sr. Director of FP&A. This is a critical hire reporting directly to the CFO and serving as the connective tissue between financial operations and executive decision-making. The right candidate brings deep technical finance expertise, polished executive presence, and a track record of building high-performing teams and scalable FP&A infrastructure in dynamic, performance-driven environments. What You’ll Do FP&A Ownership & Execution Own the full FP&A cycle: monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, variance analysis, and the Company's 5-Year Plan, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness across all deliverables. Executive Reporting & Strategic Influence Own the company-wide financial narrative for executive deliverables including MBRs, MD&A, and leadership presentations, translating complex financial results into clear, actionable recommendations. Serve as a trusted thought partner and delegate to the VP of FP&A, challenging assumptions and influencing decisions with data-driven insights. Cross-Functional Partnership Collaborate with business unit leaders across Sales, Operations, and Accounting to support decision-making, cost management, and performance optimization through dashboards, analytical tools, and proactive financial frameworks. Process Improvement & Scalability Drive initiatives to improve, automate, and scale FP&A processes, tools, and reporting as the business grows, with a focus on forecasting accuracy, standardization, and documentation that supports team continuity. Directly manage and develop FP&A team members, ensuring high-quality output before executive consumption while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strong professional development. What You’ll Bring Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, equity research, management consulting (Bain, BCG, McKinsey, Big 4) preferred Demonstrated track record owning forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and executive financial reporting Proven ability to influence senior executives, challenge assumptions, and deliver clear, data-driven recommendations Strong financial acumen with deep fluency in corporate finance and accounting fundamentals Prior people management experience, including developing talent and leading teams or complex workstreams Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts for non-finance audiences Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; strong presentation-building capabilities ERP system experience required; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications expected #J-18808-Ljbffr
