Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical and Pediatrics unit, caring for adult patients only (travelers do not take pediatric patients)
• Manage a diverse adult patient population with conditions including respiratory illness, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Maintain patient ratios of approximately 1:6–7 on night shifts
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Document accurately and efficiently using EPIC electronic health records
• Comply with all facility health and safety policies, including masking requirements during flu season if vaccination is declined

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License required
• BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt to frequent changes throughout a shift
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with team members and ancillary staff
• Resilient, positive attitude with a willingness to ask questions and prioritize the best possible patient experience
