Casino Services Shift Manager

Join PENN Entertainment in shaping the future of entertainment. This role focuses on supervising staff in the Cage department and maintaining operational excellence. Responsibilities Supervise staff and overall daily management of a designated shift in the Cage department. Support, administer, and manage operational goals and monitor achievement of performance and profit objectives. Create effective and efficient schedules, maintain labor costs, meet staffing objectives, and achieve guest satisfaction. Assist in the budget process for the department, provide recommendations, ensure compliance with budget initiatives, and report concerns to the manager. Exhibit superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise. Secure the integrity of all assets and oversee balancing of all cage banks on the assigned shift. Review and approve cage documentation based on established authorization levels in the manager’s absence. Respond to guest inquiries while applying authorized service recovery. Investigate variances, violations of internal controls, and reporting requirements. Prepare and review currency transaction reports. Verify vault accountability at shift end. Verify credit line availability. Review transaction logs for accuracy. Verify main bank and window cashier drawers. Authorize checks. Prepare customer deposit and safekeeping logs. Ensure regulatory compliance within the area of authority and report potential issues to management. Train staff on CTR and SARC procedures and ensure paperwork is completed and reported according to compliance procedures. Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters. Qualifications Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent required; or two to four years of related customer service experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Strong arithmetic skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing; ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages; and to interpret bar graphs. Diplomatic and tactful conflict resolution with guests, staff, and colleagues. Strong collaboration and communication with team members at all organizational levels. Knowledge of office machines and tools (jet sort, coin roller, 10‑key by touch, credit‑card cash advance systems). Availability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
