Help Desk Technician
Trailer Bridge is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Help Desk Technician to provide technical support to employees across the organization. This position is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues while ensuring timely resolution of IT-related requests. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve computer, printer, email, and connectivity problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, software, and IT equipment.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and equipment preparation.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, password resets, and user access requests.
- Track, document, and resolve technical issues through the IT ticketing system.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
- Maintain IT equipment inventory and follow company security procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IT help desk, desktop support, or a related technical support role.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and computer hardware.
- Basic understanding of networking, troubleshooting, and user account management.
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- CompTIA A+ or similar IT certification preferred, but not required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems.
- Experience supporting employees across multiple locations.
