Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a dynamic, contract opportunity to support students as a speech-language pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This assignment, running from August through late May, offers the chance to provide care and guidance to a diverse pediatric population through an itinerant model, bringing your expertise to multiple school settings near Bolingbrook, IL. Both clinical fellows and experienced SLPs are welcome—supervision options are available!
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, open to those completing CFY
- Strong background working with pediatric populations, preferably in school or teletherapy environments
- Familiarity with individualized education program (IEP) documentation and therapeutic goal setting
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Role & Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students across various school locations as assigned
- Participate in IEP meetings, maintain detailed records, and write progress notes
- Collaborate with fellow educators, families, and district staff to deliver comprehensive support
- Provide therapy both in dedicated on-site spaces and via teletherapy, as needed
- Engage in ongoing training and orientation provided by the district
- Attend paid team meetings and complete necessary administrative/indirect work hours
- Supervision provided for clinical fellows
