Quality InspectorTeal Drones - SLC, UT 84115Position SummaryTeal Drones, a wholly owned subsidiary of Red Cat Holdings, is looking to fill an immediate position as a full-time Quality Inspector. Teal is a rapidly growing technology company focused on creating world-class system solutions serving a broad range of applications for the design and development of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS drones) for use in defense, public safety, and other government security organizations.This Quality Inspector position is under the umbrella of Quality and Training Org, reporting within the Supplier Quality Department. The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting, verifying, accepting or rejecting incoming material before being stocked to inventory, and supporting manufacturing with in-process verification, containment actions, and quality feedback. The role includes visual verification, using inspection tooling, and test verifications of various product types including plastics and electronic components.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollow Incoming Quality Control process – conduct visual, dimensional and functional inspections/tests.Use inspection tooling such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, etc. to accurately measure and assess productPerform functional or parameter testing on electronic assembliesFollow the Nonconforming Material process – write nonconformance records and complete containment as necessaryKeep records of inspection procedures, specifications, and results up to dateCollaborate with production and engineering on inspection points and provide inspection feedbackWork cross-functionally with engineers, purchasing, and inventory for a seamless processAdhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work areaRequired QualificationsMinimum education of high school diploma or equivalent1-5 years experience in quality control of consumer productsExperience in manufacturing of aerospace goods and/or electronic componentsFamiliarity of inspection methodologies and standards (e.g., AQL sampling) and how to apply them appropriatelyAbility to read technical drawings/specifications (GD&T)Additional Desired QualificationsIPC-A-610 Certified and familiarity with IPC J-STD-001Experience working in ESD (static free) environments (e.g., ANSI S20.20)Experience as an Internal AuditorAssociates or Bachelor's in STEMFAA Part 107 certificationPrevious experience working with an AS9100 or IS9001 certified companyStrong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical components and manufacturing processesExperience creating or familiarity with test plansPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsMust be able to walk, stand, and navigate large indoor and outdoor facilities for extended periods of time.Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated areas or when performing specific tasks, in accordance with safety protocols and company policy.May be required to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch during inspections, maintenance walk-throughs, or emergency response situations.Regular exposure to facility operations including noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and industrial equipment.Occasional off-hours or weekend work required for emergency facility responses or projects as neededRequires frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment for documentation, communication, and coordination tasks.Background CheckThis position will require successfully completing a post-offer background check.
