Responsibilities

• Evaluate equipment requirements, prepare RFQs, and recommend suitable industrial equipment for manufacturing and powder-handling processes.
• Manage equipment selection, procurement, installation, configuration, startup, and commissioning.
• Develop, modify, and optimize PLC/HMI programs to improve manufacturing automation.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation system issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support servo motors, VFDs, industrial robots, and machine vision systems.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify equipment failures and improve uptime, reliability, and production performance.
• Coordinate equipment upgrades, modifications, and engineering improvement projects.
• Design or modify equipment components and collaborate with vendors on fabrication requirements.
• Support utility equipment, including air compressors and air dryers.
• Implement continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives across toner processing, filling, and assembly operations.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, equipment setup procedures, operating instructions, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Support engineering change requests, quality improvements, and workplace safety initiatives.
• Analyse manufacturing data, prepare technical reports, and present improvement recommendations.
• Train production and maintenance personnel on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and external vendors to resolve technical challenges.
• Use AutoCAD, Excel, electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings for equipment design and analysis.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2 4 years of experience in controls engineering or electrical engineering.
• Strong experience with PLC/HMI programming; Omron experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of servo drives, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and automated manufacturing systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and the preparation of electrical drawings, layouts, and technical plans.
• Ability to program industrial robots; Fanuc or Epson experience is preferred.
• Experience configuring and programming machine vision systems; Keyence experience is preferred.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software engineering principles.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, project coordination, and presentation skills.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
