Case Mix: General emergency medicine cases

No. of Beds in Department: 12 ED beds (5 fast track)

EMR System: Cerner

Office Equipment Available: Standard ED equipment

Specialty Backup Available: Limited subspecialty support

Support Staff Available: 24-hour physician coverage with 2024 hours NP/PA coverage

Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Compensation & Benefits: Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: TBD

Required Procedures: General emergency medicine procedures

Licenses: Active NC license required

Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine

DEA: Active NC DEA required

Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS required (if not ABEM)

Experience: Recent graduates accepted

Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable with full-scope ED privileges

Duties & Responsibilities: Provide emergency department care for all patient presentations Manage patient care independently during shifts Collaborate with NP/PA support staff Coordinate care with available specialty services Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR
