Job SpecificationODC Construction, LLC - Optimal Framing Crews – Slab LaborerLocation: Field, Orlando, FLSummary: ODC Construction is seeking a Slab Laborer to assist in the preparation and execution of slab foundation work on various construction sites. This role is integral to supporting the slab crew, ensuring that tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in slab construction and be eager to contribute to the team's success.Reports to: Crew Leader, Director of ConstructionResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist in the preparation and installation of slab foundations, including site grading, formwork, reinforcement, and pouring concrete.Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from the worksite.Set up and clean up work areas, ensuring that tools and materials are properly stored and organized.Support the slab crew with daily tasks and operations, ensuring the job site runs smoothly.Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and reporting hazards to supervisors.Mix, pour, and spread concrete as directed.Assist with the setup and operation of slab-related equipment.Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards.Perform basic labor tasks, including digging, lifting, and carrying materials as needed.Follow directions from the Slab Crew Leader and other supervisory personnel.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety guidelines.  Qualifications/Requirements:Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Effective team player with a collaborative mindset.Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational and time management skillsTechnologically proficientHigh level of accuracy in data entry and reportingClear, professional communication with clients, vendors, and internal teamsPhysical and Work Environment Requirements:Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs., with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.This position requires the ability to work outdoors for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions, with or without a reasonable accommodation.Excellent benefits package, including:Competitive hourly rateHealth Insurance - Medical, Dental and Vision401k with a generous company matchPaid time off (PTO) & Company-paid HolidaysAs part of our commitment to providing a safe and secure work environment, ODC Construction LLC conducts background checks and drug screenings on all prospective employees following a conditional offer of employment.By applying for a position with ODC Construction LLC, you acknowledge and agree that:You may be required to undergo a comprehensive background check, which may include verification of employment history, education, criminal records, credit history (where applicable), and other relevant information.You may also be required to complete a drug screening, which tests for the presence of controlled substances in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.The results of these screenings may be used to determine your eligibility for employment.All information obtained during this process will be handled confidentially and in compliance with applicable privacy and anti-discrimination laws.Refusal to consent to a background check or drug screening, or failure to pass either, may result in the withdrawal of any employment offer or termination of employment, if already hired.
