Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) Job Details Job Locations: US-IL-SPRINGFIELD | US-IL-DECATUR Position Type: Contractor Pay Min: USD $40.00/Hr. Pay Max: USD $45.00/Hr. Requirements Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker -Or- QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) or LPHA - which are defined as: A) Any individual identified as an LPHA in subsection (b)(3); B) A registered nurse who holds a valid license in the state of practice, is legally authorized under state law or rule to practice as a registered nurse, so long as that practice is not in conflict with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act, and has training in mental health services or one year of clinical experience, under supervision, in treating problems related to mental illness, or specialized training in the treatment of children and adolescents. C) An occupational therapist who holds a valid license in the state of practice and is legally authorized under state law or rule to practice as an occupational therapist, so long as that practice is not in conflict with the Illinois Occupational Therapy Practice Act [225 ILCS 75] with at least one year of clinical experience in a mental health setting. In the event the state of practice does not provide a legal authority for licensure, the individual must meet the requirements of 42 CFR 484.4 for an occupational therapist. D) An individual possessing a master's or doctoral degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or a related field and has: i) Successfully completed 1,000 hours of practicum and/or internship under clinical and educational supervision; or ii) One year of documented clinical experience under the supervision of a QMHP. Responsibilities Models and trains staff in the principles and practice of Positive Behavior Support methodology. Serves as a member of Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs) providing expertise re: behavioral issues. Responsible for Behavior Plan assessment, design, training, monitoring, and reporting. Conducts descriptive and systematic (e.g., analogue) behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and provides behavior analytic interpretations of the results. Provides direct behavioral treatment to clients via replacement skills training, social skills training, crisis de-escalation, group behavioral treatment, individual behavioral treatment, and/or skills coaching in all applicable settings. Monitors restraint use and provides training to reduce. Monitors challenging behavior. Participates in Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee and other relevant committees, as assigned. Shall provide individualized services to meet the treatment needs of each of the specialty intermediate care (IC) clinic patients for services in field of care. Shall meet requirements of 902 KAR 20:410 Specialty Intermediate Care Clinics as warranted. Learn and follow all policies and procedures. Qualifications Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to individuals and other employees of the organization. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Education: Doctoral or Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is required.
