Category Manager

Vaco Atlanta is excited to partner with an impressive client in Atlanta, GA in their search for a Category Manager: Electronics . This is a DIRECT HIRE (permanent) position. Atlanta, GA candidates are preferred but REMOTE candidates will be considered. Remote candidates must live in the United States and be comfortable working an ETZ schedule. .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and execute category strategies that align with company growth objectives
• Strategically drive revenue, inventory performance and gross margin
• Serve as the primary contact for category vendors and negotiate pricing & rebates
• Work closely with Demand Planning to optimize stock levels
• Organize and lead category strategy development to optimize value
• Collaborate with Pricing team to create competitive pricing strategies
• Drive category growth initiatives by working closely with the Sales team

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree REQUIRED; MBA or CPM certification preferred
• 5+ years of Category managementor procurement experience
• Preferred experience with industrial distribution
• Must have experience in electronics marketplace
• Must have a mastery of margin analysis and rebate modeling
• Must have Advanced Excel skills and be proficient in ERP/MRP systems
• Must have proven success with global manufacturers
• Must be comfortable with up to 25% travel
